A night spent in Gongala mountain ⛰

 The highest mountain peak in Sabaragamu Province is Gongala mountain. It is located near Deniaya town. According to the villagers, this mountain got its name because the mountain peak looks like an ox's head.However, I and some of my friends went camping at Gongala Kanda.  At first the parents did not like it, but they agreed to it as Gongala Kanda was not further to our area.This Gongala mountain is the best place to travel. If we want to go to Gongala, we informed the navy camp there and got permission.This is a mountain with a beautiful climate. This is the fifteenth highest mountain in Sri Lanka. The view of Gongala is amazing both in the morning and in the evening.I was lucky enough to spend a free holiday in a very quiet environment full of mist and trees.The fresh cold wind brought us closer to nature. On the night of pitching the tents, we prepared dinner by the fire.

The mountain area was gradually covered with mist and the distance spread. We sang songs happily. That day, it was another moon that reached the top of Gongala mountain. I looked at it as if I had never seen the moon.When we went camping, we didn't take anything harmful to the environment.  We also took care to behave in such a way as not to harm the environment.
                          We were a little afraid of the birds and the occasional owls, but those memories are very beautiful.Various types of wild flowers blooming there and insects that have never been seen before add a strange beauty to Gongala mountain.We took a lot of pictures there. Small waterfalls here.  We also saw springs and boiling ponds. Fortunately, we didn't find any dangerous animals here, but we did come across poisonous snakes.Gongala mountain is a must visit place for those who love to travel. But its beauty should not be damaged. This is a valuable resource that we got from nature.I still enjoy the beauty of those memories about Gongala mountain.🏕🏞⛰
